Thanks for sharing the exciting news! It's great to see how the team keeps enhancing the gaming experience. Personally, I've been using reWASD for a while now, and it's been a game-changer for customizing my controller settings.

Focus on improving support for new Android/iOS apps rather than creating another companion application. Utilize Android emulators for such operations until proper Android support is available on Windows 11. A strong mobile app can forward signals from certain controllers' mapping applications, unlocking more configuration possibilities. Additionally, mobile phones can serve as secondary motors for vibrations, provide touchpad functionality for Xbox/Nintendo controllers, and enable gyro support for other controllers. Virtual controllers on mobile devices offer opportunities for creating additional buttons and can be displayed above other applications, enhancing gaming experiences with features like Moonlight Game Streaming and Steam Link.

It would be nice to be able to change the configuration by pressing win+G (activating xbox game bar) and not leaving/minimizing the game. At least it's worth considering.
However, we do have ideas for improving the overlay. We plan to make it possible to use configs with it and much more.
Stay tuned!

Hello!
We plan to add reWASD Junior to other stores in the future, but there is no ETA. Stay tuned!
Also, we have some ideas about a Windows-based companion. Will be happy to share more info once we are ready.

The Windows Subsystem for Android is a required software component that lets you install apps from the Amazon Appstore.

I do not think it is worth to create another companion application. At least for now. I recommend to use Android emulator to such operations (until Windows 11 will not release proper android support).
Better to focus on improving support for new Android/iOS apps. Some controllers are designed for mobiles only and their additional buttons work only with their mapping applications.
What we can have by having strong mobile app:- Rewasd Junior can forward signals from these applications, what can unlock even more config possibilities. Bonus: less playing with reconnecting controllers from Android TV/mobile phone to PC.
- Additionaly mobile phone mounted (and grouped in reWASD) with controller can work as second motor for vibrations, generating different vibration defined in config or emulating xbox's Impulse Trigger Vibrations (eg. for Nintendo controllers).
- Mobile phones can be Dualshock's 4 touchpad as well for Xbox/Nintendo controllers.
- Mobile phones can unlock gyro support for other controllers as well. Especially iPegas will work great in this case.
- Mobile's virtual controller (application pretending controller) can let us create a lot of additonal buttons. Easy to emulate SNES or Xbox 360 controllers, limited by our imagination and button wizard (SteamLink app is doing this great, good to check RetroArch layouts and generally config of Florian Grill's DroidJoy which has Bluetooth/Wifi connection). Volume up/down or rog phone shoulder buttons shall be ready to remap too. Bonus: using mobile phone as remote control.
- Mobile's virtual controller layers can be half-transparent and they can be displayed above other applications (like Octopus app which I'm using currently on Android). In this way we can run Moonlight Game Streaming app, Nvidia Gamestream, Radeon ReLive game streaming or even Steam Link and Parsec. Using rewasd for better controls and playing on the phone pc games streamed by third party applications. Yay!

Or maybe you want to use reWASD on both machines you have?
There is also a third option: you may check our External Virtual controller (connected via Bluetooth or GIMX) that is created by reWASD and works on other devices in the network. Let's say, you could create a config on the laptop, and then use the created External Virtual controller on your main PC.
