ID:	247154It’s been a while since our last update - and this time, we focused on expanding device support and improving compatibility where it mattered most.

    One of the most requested additions is finally here: reWASD now fully supports the Flydigi Vader 5 Pro. The controller’s 3-dimensional gyro and tilt features are fully supported, but make sure you switch to Bluetooth or dongle mode. Adaptive triggers are not supported at the moment - just like with other Flydigi controllers. Yet ; )

    Alongside that, this update also brings:
    • support for a batch of Wii controllers: Nunchuk, Remote, and Wii U Pro;
    • support for Flydigi Direwolf series controllers;
    • improved compatibility with selected games (yes, we know many of you were waiting for this);
    • and many other fixes and improvements.

    At the same time, we want to highlight an important change to the authorization and licensing flow.

    Starting with reWASD 9.4, using legacy keys without authorization is no longer possible. If you continue using a legacy license key on older reWASD versions, you may eventually see a verification error asking you to sign in to your account instead.

    Previously, users could either:
    • sign in to their account;
    • or use reWASD with a license key only.

    Starting now, authorization is required to continue using legacy keys. These changes are part of ongoing security improvements across our products and services. We’ll share more details about these changes and the reasoning behind them in the near future.

    Important:
    • your existing legacy license keys are fully valid;
    • your licenses are linked to your account;
    • you do NOT need to purchase reWASD again if you don't want to switch to the current access system.

    In most cases, you simply need to sign in and continue using reWASD as usual.

    If you forgot your password or no longer have access to your original email address, don’t worry - password recovery is available through the website, and our support team is always ready to help.

    We also recommend switching to the current account-based access flow whenever possible for the smoothest experience moving forward, and to access new advanced features we’re working on.

    Check the full release notes here:
    reWASD is a powerful controller remapper and emulator for PC. Remap gamepads to keyboard and mouse, create macros, and customize any controller for gaming.

    Nice! What's this about "Bluetooth or dongle mode" though? Does it mean gyro doesn't work wired?
    For the adaptive triggers, I don't think Vader Pro has them anyway. Only Apex has them.

    I also have a complaint about the update process.
    My main controller in reWASD is a group of 3 devices: Xbox standard gamepad + Synapse virtual keyboard + Send Input (for AHK).
    Every time I update reWASD, it breaks the group and I have to make it again. The new group then has default settings and I need to reconfigure slots.
    I think the update should be seamless so it doesn't break my configuration, right?

      Hi. This means that your Flydigi controller must be in exclusive mode to display correctly in reWASD.

      If you update reWASD through the app, your device group should remain.
      You only need to reinitialize and regroup your devices if you uninstall reWASD and then reinstall it.

        Well, it doesn't remain. I've seen this with the last couple of updates, every time the group disappears and I lose the things I configured for it. So it is a bug then?

          We checked this on several PCs, and the upgrade does not break the device group.
          In your case, it's possible that some issue is occurring within the system related to the devices, which is why the "Clear data" action is being triggered during the upgrade.

          Please specify which physical devices you have in your device group.

            I tested Wiimote with Nunchuck and it works good, but when I am grouping these two devices I'm having bug that remapping C/Z buttons on nunchuck is overwriting Wii Remote's actions on buttons A/B, so it's not so comfortable to play having doubled buttons on left and right side. 😉

              It's Razer Wolverine V3 TE + Synapse virtual keyboard + Send Input.
              I noticed one other thing that might be related, reWASD installed the new version in C:\Program Files while the previous version was in C:\Programs. If I use the auto-updater I expect that it will be in the same folder, it should overwrite prior version, but this did not happen. Maybe it doesn't like when it isn't in the default path?

                  lankaras In your case, the device group is reset because you're using devices that don't have their own unique ID.
                  Unfortunately, when using these devices, it's not possible to avoid the device group reset after updates.
