  • Regarding yesterdays reWASD online services issues

Yesterday, some reWASD online services were temporarily unavailable, affecting account authorization, purchases, and access to several online features.

Like many online platforms, we constantly deal with malicious attempts to disrupt our services. We continuously improve our infrastructure and protection mechanisms to minimize their impact. Most of the time, these attempts go completely unnoticed because our protection systems stop them before they can affect our services or users. Unfortunately, yesterday's disruption was one of the rare occasions when the impact became visible.

The issue has now been resolved, and everything is back online.

We're sorry for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience while we worked to restore the services.

As always, if you have any questions regarding reWASD, feel free to contact us!

I think the problem is not solved... My reWASD has been shutting down because of 'license' multiple times now, it's very annoying. I hate this always-online stuff. When I click "Membership option" the page gives me 500 Internal Server error. Please fix

The membership portal is fixed but the bigger problem is that my reWASD stops working and complaining about license. I tested it just now by restarting the service and it still does that.

We see that your reWASD Access Plan is currently activated on the [M6-PC] device.

Please provide more details or a screenshot of said "complain".

Normally I can just restart the service and everything works immediately. Now it will not work, then when I launch reWASD GUI it shows a box "You need to activate license". Then when I click the button it works again. This happens every time when I restart it and sometimes when going from cable to wireless.

We do not recommend manually stopping the system remapping service, as this is not "normal" and we do not expect this behavior from our components.

It has always worked like that until yesterday. And it happens when going from cable to wireless, I will take my controller off the cable after charging and then reWASD fails to work. I am not restarting the service in that situation.

The problem is not the service it's that it loses the activation of the license. It should just remain activated and it always worked like that before.

Did you update reWASD to the latest version yesterday? What version was installed before the update?

Please clarify what happens exactly? Does the "You need to activate license" error appear? Are you doing anything else besides disconnecting the controller from the cable?
Does reWASD recognize your controller as two different devices when connected via cable and wirelessly? Do you have them in the same group?

The error you get suggests that some of reWASD components don't have access to the Internet. I suggest running reWASD as Administrator once, so it would restore Windows Defender Firewall rules, or reinstall it.

I think I installed it the day before? I didn't notice the problem immediately, but it's possible that it's because of the new version. Current version is 9.5.0.11336, I don't remember what the previous version was but it was the latest.

It's a Flydigi Vader 5 Pro in "exclusive mode", not in a group. I am not doing anything else other than removing it from the cable. I think it's always the same device in reWASD, same profiles everything, I don't see any changes between wireless or cable. I will see in the overlay that it loses the gamepad and then reconnects, it re-enables the profile that it was on, nothing else.

Strange thing is it doesn't ALWAYS happen, after I activate the license I can connect it and disconnect it and it seems to be good for a while.

I didn't change anything on my system. Maybe it's because of the latest version of reWASD. Windows Firewall is off, it should just have access. When I click the button to activate the license in reWASD that always works.

I reinstalled reWASD but I don't think that did anything... it still loses the activation of the license when I restart the service. I didn't remove the old installation because I don't want to lose my settings. But I saw "uninstalling" in the installer.
