Have you tried adding a little delay to the keys? Sometimes it helps to have smoother control when using a controller that simulates a mouse and keyboard.

I had the same issue. Make sure the controller button is mapped to the actual keyboard key bound to “Armor Plate” in Warzone, not the controller action. Once the key mapping is correct, it should work normally.
