what the title says it's to me a battery drainer and not needed, but at the same time if you can turn it off I wonder if adding a way to change the color how you like instead would make a lot of pople happy im sure.

Hello!
You can turn LED off in Preferences, General tab -> you just need to uncheck Enable DualShock 4 LED on Remap and Shift changing option.
We are going to extend the list of colors and LED modes in one of the next versions. Stay tuned
