  • Key Combo Slot Switching

Hello, and thanks for a awesome product. If I may request a feature, I would love to have added.

The game I play has alot of weapons and switching. I have setup a of slots for them. I would love to have it, when I run a key combo, I could add a slot number at the end of the combo.

For instance the game I play requires me to hit, Dpad Down, Dpad Down, A.
My Combo is when I select Dpad down once, it runs that combo, I would like my combo to look like this (Dpad Down, Dpad Down, A, Slot 2.)

Hopefully this may be something that could be considered. Also, I am hoping for Official Microsoft chat pad support in the future. Thanks for reading.

    Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion, key combo editor doesn't allow adding slot in a combo, so we will take it into account.

There are other options that you can consider regarding your questions:

Shift mode - option to set different layout and switch it using shift modifier button - https://help.rewasd.com/basic-functions/shift-mode.html. The shift set in the same config and slot, so no need to change between slots.

Shortcuts - 2-4 buttons that permit assigning as shortcuts. So, the mapping fires when you press all buttons simultaneously - https://help.rewasd.com/basic-functions/shortcuts.html

Perhaps one of the provided methods will be useful as well.

      Thanks for the quick response.

Option 1 with the shifts is a decent option. I use the Elite series 2 controller, so I could assign it to a lower paddle if needed. But with my hands, I prefer not to use the lower paddles. I have weapon combos for my weapons on both upper paddles.

Option 2 with short cuts is what I am doing now, to use my slots. (Left trigger, down right stick) to switch slots. It works, but is a added step to what I am looking for with just adding the slots to my already mapped combo of the Dpad combo.

Thanks for possibly considering adding slots to a key combo. Keep up the great work with this awesome program. I bought it twice, desktop, and laptop.

        Hello,
        Thank you for your reply.

Yes, you use shortcuts that change slots. I was talking about the shortcuts used to fires mapping in the same config, in the same slot. As the example Left trigger, downright stick mapping for weapon #1, (Left trigger, upright stick for weapon #2, etc. It could be different keys combinations that trigger the same slot - https://help.rewasd.com/basic-functions/shortcuts.html.
