  • Audio through DS4 controller

First and most importantly, audio through the DS4 headphone jack over bluetooth. That would be amazing. To take it to the next level and have more functionality than sony could have ever dreamed to offer, if we could enable audio through the DS4 speaker, that would be epic. Even more so if it could work over a normal bluetooth dongle and not just usb.

We are so close to having full controller functionality using reWASD and normal bluetooth dongles, literally saving us over a hundred dollars. If we can push the boundaries of what we thought was possible by actually utilizing the last piece of the controller that has no support yet then reWASD will be the G.O.A.T.

    Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion, but it's not clear. Physical DS4 → virtual BT. So, the gamepad is the sound source, the sound distributes though virtual BT to other devices that are also connected to BT? Does it make sense? Perhaps you could describe some case, like how do you see it.

The DS4 has a headphone port. OP is asking for a way to send audio to the headphones port on the controller while the controller is connected to the PC via Bluetooth. As far as I know this is a driver issue and not something that the reWASD team could address (though I could be wrong).

        Hello,

Dualshock 4 (revision 2) has audio support in Windows because Sony provides a standard audio interface for it and Windows loads a built-in audio driver automatically. When connected via Bluetooth no such interface exists and audio is not possible. We would need to create own audio driver for it. It is possible in theory but will be a lot of work and not planned currently (nobody even wanted such feature). We could consider this if enough demand exists.
