Push mapping to alternative mapping within profile or different profile would be really nice. That way when I have two existing profiles, or two alternative Maps that I want to maintain consistency I don't have to edit each alternative mapping or profile individually.

The feature you wish, I believe, is already implemented. The reWASD has a button hook. If you press some key, this key should be highlighted in reWASD window.
The same works for assigning the mapping. If you click the drop-down for the list of available mapping and then press the key that you want to map to it, it will be assigned.
