  • Radial Menu More Options

It would be nice to have more options on how the radial menu behaves.
    Menu Activation Style:
*Button Release - Highlighted action fires only after you press and then release the input.
*Always - Fires the action as long as it is highlighted. (Useful for quickly swapping for weapons/magic/tools/ect.)
*Touch Release/Shift Mode End - Highlighted action fires when input stops (such as releasing a button or lifting your finger off a trackpad/joystick) or, if the radial menu is on a Shift Mode, whenever that Shift Mode ends.

    Other Options:
*Click Action - This is an action that is not bound to any particular input, but instead to the radial menu itself. This is particularly useful when combined with the "Always On" menu activation type. A natural example is binding this to "pause," so that whenever you bring up the radial menu, the game pauses and you have time to make your choice.

Note: Yes I got these ideas from steam input. But who's to say that you can't take the best from one software and include it in your own.

Thank you for your suggestion. We will consider adding this functionality in future updates of reWASD. For now, you can try the methods described below.

    Button Release
This can be realized by remapping the "Apply" action to [Press Release] activator of some button on [Radial Menu] layer. The sector must have [Close menu on Apply] option enabled.

    Always:
Remapping the zone of a mouse or a stick to the "Apply" action would act in a similar way, triggering the sector as long as you move the mouse/stick. The sector must have the [Close menu on Apply] option disabled.

    Touch Release/Shift Mode End
Remapping those actions/activators to "Apply" or "Jump to another shift layer" with the [Close menu on Apply] option enabled for every sector would act in the same way.
