  • Support for VKB Gladiators

Just read in your 2025 blog post that you're eager for suggestions of new controllers to be supported.

I would love to use rewasd for my VKB Gladiators NXT EVO (Space Combat Edition) as well.

A generic Joystick support (without VKB specific layout) would already be a big step forward as well.

    Keep up the great work!

    Hi!

We greatly appreciate your feedback and interest in using reWASD with the VKB Gladiators NXT EVO. We will forward your request to our development team for consideration.

Hello, I recently bought reWASD with the Lifetime Access because I thought it would make my setup much easier.
I own two VKB Gladiator EVO joysticks and assumed they would be compatible, but to my surprise they appear as “unsupported devices”.

For me, this is really frustrating because one of the main reasons I purchased reWASD was to have a single program to map my joysticks into a virtual Xbox controller and keyboard/mouse.
At the moment I cannot use them the way I expected, and it feels like a big limitation.

Please, I kindly ask you to consider adding official support for VKB Gladiator EVO joysticks. They are very popular in the flight sim community, and I am sure many other users would benefit from this.

      Thank you!

We can't talk about the timeframe for adding flight stick support yet.
The information hasn't changed since then.

Another VKB user here, but a more generic question for the developers: why not enable generic XInput devices and instead of showing specific visual layouts just list all the buttons and axes in a flat list and allow assignement? Is there a reason it has to be device-specific other than the pretty graphic mockup?

            Hi Slappy_G

Perhaps we will have a global layout that supports many devices in the future, but we have no ETA yet.

We are trying to add support for new devices with every big update, so stay tuned!
