About the input delay to the shortcut mode

I am a heavy shortcut mode user, I love this function a lot and it is doing well so far. (I use rewasd mainly for it alone )
But as we know, the trade-off for using shortcut is the input delay to the key, even though it was improved to be as low as 20ms. But a delay is a delay—it will affect the gameplay realistically and emotionally.

I wish you could let us set it as low as possible (below 20ms) ourselves. I know it could break the function if you set it too low, but I want to test it myself since the input device could also be a factor for the success trigger. (Meaning a high polling rate and low input lag input device could pull it off even when set lower than 20ms.)
Please allow us to set it lower than 20ms, and I will accept the limit of the function, but at least I have to try.
