"Default" profile swap after closing a game?

So I have a game-specific profile I have setup, and that seems to work but whenever I close the game I don't seem to have a way to swap back to the "default" profile.

The closest I can find is setting something like Chrome.exe as a "default" app, so that if I go back to a browser or something before I launch another game then it will usually flip back. Though this does produce some oddities where my profile switches while I have the game open if I tab out... but that usually doesn't matter since I wouldn't give input.

Is there any better way to do this?

Hello!

By default, reWASD has desktop config that is intended to be used as a default one and already has a few associated apps. In addition to browsers, you may see a few more processes that are used there. The most important ones are explorer.exe (actually Windows Explorer) and SearchUI.exe (this process is responsible for Windows search line, Start menu, Alt+Tab functionality and so on). If you add those two to the associations for the default config, it will be activated in 100% cases once you leave your game.

I would recommend you to try adding those and check whether it will work for you.
