  • Shortcuts: Controller and Mouse

I am trying to make a shortcut when I press two buttons at the same time; one button on my ps nav controller and one button on my mouse. Is this possible?

    Hello,

Yes, it is possible to do:

    1. You may create a group of devices (controller+ mouse) - https://help.rewasd.com/how-to-remap...f-devices.html
    2. Add required mappings using shortcuts option - https://help.rewasd.com/basic-functions/shortcuts.html

as the example its looks like - https://recordit.co/x0vsE16JaD. NOTE, It's important to unmap the buttons that participate in a shortcut (like Y and right mouse click in my example) and add reWASD mapping to the buttons that participate in a shortcut that corresponds to the buttons (Y to Y, mouse click to mouse click).

Hey thanks for responding. I got as far as your video showed when i was playing around with it but I'm having an issue where the shortcut will basically only work for right mouse click and left mouse click not with reprogrammable mouse buttons? I have a logitech g700. I set it to use the mouse's on board memory because i wasn't able to do anything with it in rewasd running with the logitech software. So I reprogrammed the extra buttons to keyboard keys within the on board memory and the keyboard keys are what I'm selecting when making a shortcut. When I try to make a shortcut with any of the mouse's programmable buttons the shortcuts dont work. Thanks again for the help.

        Hello,

Check this link where you may see how to use reWASD to remap a mouse with programmable buttons - https://help.rewasd.com/how-to-remap/mouse.html. And it' better to use the profile stored on the computer of Logitech gaming software - http://joxi.net/L21zgGLsRndG1A

Yup, thats the guide I used to get my g700 working. I was able to get it working with rewasd only by enabling the On-Board Memory as mentioned in the guide. You're showing that you use the Logitech remapping and Automatic Game Detection software. I have this too but when I use this with the g700 nothing works with rewasd; how did you do this?

So the setup I got working is the g700 with on-board memory where I programmed the extra mouse buttons to keyboard keys; then I'm able to use them under the rewasd "additional mouse buttons" tool. The problem I'm having is that I can't make a shortcut with the additional mouse buttons -- for some reason they do not register.

And if you, Star-Lord, are able to make the logitech software work together with rewasd instead of having to use on-board memory --- then that is also a problem i am having because i wasn't able to get them working together. My guess was that the logitech software sends the button/key presses directly to the game and not to rewasd hence why I couldnt get anything to work that i programmed in rewasd.

            Hello,

You 're right, the programmable buttons work with on board memory mode. I was mistaken. It's g300 Logitech mouse so I reassign all buttons on the top to f keyboard buttons (as an example) with Logitech gaming software using board memory mode like http://joxi.net/GrqX8GMS4VLwjA and bind mapping in additional mouse button in the reWASD.

As for shortcuts, you right, additional mouse buttons rebinding with Logitech gaming to keyboard and then add to shortcut with own mapping aren't working. I've never had a case like yours, with programmable buttons in shortcuts (like your initial request shortcuts with mouse and controller works correctly). Will try to investigate this issue with my team and let you know results.

            Our apologies for the inconvenience.
