Ahoy, sailor! Welcome on board. If you wish to post on reWASD forum, start from a registration. We also kindly ask you to make a tiny effort and check if your question is already discussed. Thankfully, this process has been simplified with a Search field in the top right corner.
DPI changes via native mouse software only. It's a dedicated hardware button (usually) without an option to remap on to another button. reWASD doesn't track this button, so it can't be used in the mapping. In this case, it has to be manual DPI changing while aiming\zooming. Or fiddling with sensitivity and make it a bit less.
Thanks for the reply. I think i phrased by question incorrectly. Rather than reduce the DPI I should have written "sensitivity".
I noticed that the sensitivity can be set on the virtual mouse settings so at I though I could create two sets of settings and then tie the zoom to switch between the two. The button on the mouse that allows this "sniper mode" I have set to easy-shift as its a Roccat mouse. Also I don't want to worry about pressing more than one button. I hope this explains my issue further.
Then, please visit this link https://help.rewasd.com/faq/usecases.html#11describing how you can get different mouse sensitivity using shift. So, basically you map mouse for stick and set different sensitivity levels in main and in a shift. The shift modifier could be the aim button (usually one of the triggers is used for it.) I also made footage where you may see slower mouse movements inside the shift mode and faster in main - https://streamable.com/jl46z
