  • Adjusting stick sensitivity as triggered by a second command

    Hello,

I was wondering if reWASD had a feature that I would like to use. I use my PS4 Dualshock controller to play Destiny 2 on PC. For those that know, Destiny 2 is a FPS. In order to compete, I have gradually increased my sensitivity to keep up against MnK players. I do fairly well but one thing that I can't do is that I cannot snipe anymore on high sensitivity. I need to be on very low sensitivity to snipe, but then I run into a problem is that my gameplay suffers in other ways since I am slow and cannot move around fast enough (can't use my primary gun as well, can't slide, roll, dodge, etc..).

I was wondering if there was a way that I could retain my high sensitivty but when I press the L1 button on my controller, if that could for example activate a lower sensitivity zone on my stick? So I would be fast moving around but when I pressed a button to zoom and Aim Down Sight, the lower sensitivity would kick in?

    Is this possible?

    Hello,

You may do different sensitivity using shift mode. I made footage that helps you settings adjustment - https://streamable.com/8d7bp

Ahh okay, so basically I can set it so that the L1 Button is my shift modifier and during that modifier, the thumb sensitivity can be adjusted to be very slow?

        Hello,

Precisely. L1 is the Shift modifier and if you press\hold (or it also can be toggled) another layout triggers, which is low sensitivity mouse. Also, you may change stick sensitivity in the same way. I drop you a manual link - https://help.rewasd.com/faq/usecases.html#11

I sent you a PM as well but in doesn't seem to be working properly.

There is this article under "Unmap" that talks about Destiny 2 having to switch between K&M and Controller taking time and they recommend either unmapping the entire controller to replace with K&M Bindings or using a virtual controller. Is that something that is applicable to this scenario?

I don't really need that much changed, I just want to set it up that when I press/hold the L1 button (that is also the button that controls ADS in the game. So that when I press L1, I am aiming with the gun and zooming down sight), I'd like the sensitivity of my R stick to be significantly lower so that I can snipe easily.

But after adjusting the R sensitivity curves in the shift layout numerous times as well as trying several different things such as "Do not inherit" for the R stick and also mapping the R stick again with R stick functionality, I can't seemingly get the configuration to work.

I know that the reWASD works for D2 because I've successfully re-mapped the X button to the L trigger which is how i played on PS4 (allows me to jump easier). But seems the game is not registering the stick sensitivity curves.

            Hello,

I replied to your DM and duplicate the reply to this post. If you play natively without reWASD mapping you need to adjust stick response (in a main and a shift) and don't forget to check "Affect gamepad hardware" option - https://prnt.sc/rhuzdr

So do I need to check that "affect gamepad hardware" button in the main configuration? Is it an option in the Shift configuration or no? Also, if I play natively without any reWASD mapping, and I want to keep the main configuration sensitivity intact, do I need to change anything on that screen?
