  • Xbox elite controller how to configure sprint

The game I am playing needs to sprint by pushing arrow key twice(left or right). How is this done with mapping my xbox elite controller with using either the analog stick or dpad?

    Hello,
I think you may add such combo - https://prnt.sc/rtbmu1.

It's A button with 2 iterations that permits reproducing a button press\release twice. The same steps with "D".
Note, that you may set this combo for a double or triple press of the same control - https://help.rewasd.com/basic-functions/activators.html to leave the main mapping for the single press.

Please, let us know if it's helpful.

My question is can you make a combo and apply it to analog stick for controller? I do not have combo paid for so I want to make sure before I make that purchase

        Hello,

Yes, you can apply a combo for controller sticks and digital buttons (D-pad). Please, select the required stick direction and pick the "key combo" tab. As far I understood your question you may do a combo adding iteration or adding A button twice in the combo editor - https://recordit.co/PdnBToOVOt.

The combo feature has 3 days trial so you may try to test it before the purchase. I also post the online guide about combo - https://help.rewasd.com/mapping-features/key-combo.html

Unfortunately I tried that and it does not work for this game because what I need is left arrow press / release and then left arrow press and hold in quick order to keep moving in that direction. This is a 2d side scroller argp type of game. Is that possible?

I also tried making a combo Left arrow press / 10 pause / Left arrow release / 10 pause / Left arrow press. However this resulted in my character to keep running in that direction even though I have reset my analog stick back to middle to change direction.

              Hello,
              Thank you for your reply.

You may add a pause between the second arrow press\release, like this. In this case, the combo triggers that way - https://recordit.co/4PJyJz1NMs. You need to select a more comfortable pause to play. So, move the stick to the direction and release it to reproduce the combo.

Unfortunately this does not work either. Now when I use this to go left my character will keep going left even though im changing direction because its still finishing the action. Hmm this shouldn't be to difficult I just don't know how to execute.

I just want it to work like a normal directional pad. Just in this game you have to push left arrow once to walk and if you tap it twice you are now sprinting. How can I recreate this?
