  • Rebinding middle mouse breaks scroll up/down

When rebinding middle mouse click to another key, and therefore using the unmap option to disable the normal middle mouse click, this also breaks scroll up/down. I cannot see any way to only unmap the click and not the scroll up/down with it.

Is this intended behaviour? Are there any workarounds?

    Hello,
    Thank you for your question.

Yes, the unmap mutes a native input completely. So, it's not available to use scrolls neither if the scroll click was unmapped. However, if your mouse is programmable you may do the following - https://help.rewasd.com/how-to-remap/mouse.html

The idea is to re-bing scroll up\down in native software to any button that used rarely. Then add these buttons as an additional mouse button in the reWASD and bind scroll on them. It looks like this - https://streamable.com/a1oxll. I reprogrammed my bloody7 mouse up\down scroll and re-bind to scroll again and bind the required button to scroll click

      Hello,

The latest ver .5.5.1 has the option to remap the scroll wheel. Check the latest update in case the item is still relevant.

      Let us know your feedback.
