Shift mode across two devices

Hi

Apologies if I'm just not understanding the software, but I'm struggling to manage shift mode across two devices. I've managed to get L1 + X to be "1" and L1 + O to be "2" using shift mode, but I'm struggling to get L1 + Left Click (mouse) to be "1" and L1 + Right Click (mouse) to be "2".

Is it possible to link shift mode across two devices?
