Game (Witcher 3) Won't Recognize Virtual Controller.

I am using a wired 360 controller, and simply wanted to map the 'guide button' to F5 for quicksave. When remap is turned off, Witcher 3 recognizes the controller plugged in. As soon as I turn remap on Witcher 3 no longer recognizes any controller input at all.



'Hide physical controller when virtual one is created' is turned on, and I have tried rebooting both the game and my PC with Remap ON. Neither worked.



'Virtual Xbox 360 for reWASD' shows up in Devices and Printers, but in Joy.cpl it does not refer to it as a virtual controller.

It seems that in your case, virtual controller is not required at all. Please follow the steps:

1. Create a new config
2. Map F5 to Xbox button + add "Unmap" (to mute the native controller behavior for this button)
3. Leave other controls as is

You should get something like:



Press Apply and try it in a game.

I could have sworn I already tried that. I deleted my current profile, and made a new one with your steps and it works. Thanks!
