  • Xbox and Steam Controller not detected

    Hi,

    Currently neither my Steam Controller or Elite V2 are being detected by ReWASD.

    I have seen in the Troubleshooting guide to remove drivers relating to other software installs (e.g. InputMapper, DS4Windows etc.) and have done this to the best of my knowledge, along with fresh re-install of ReWASD, but the problem is persisting.

    Is there something anyone can advise to check?
    I have had multiple softwares such as DS4Windows, Universal Controller Remapper, Steam (Input), VDX etc. installed at various points along with ViGEM and VJOY.

    I have created a log capturing me connecting the Elite V2 controller using the Preferences > Start Log.

    Anymore info I can share please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Make sure you have followed everything as in this guide.

    Also, you can try this tool for uninstalling.

                There is also one thing you should try.

                With a new Steam controller support version, it seems like we started having a conflict with their driver-related files.

                Try founding the 'Lowerfilter' registry record and deleting them.

                Check the following records:

                HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Cl ass\{05f5cfe2-4733-4950-a6bb-07aad01a3a84}

                HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Cl ass\{745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da}

                HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Cl ass\{d61ca365-5af4-4486-998b-9db4734c6ca3}

                Just delete the Lowerfilter record(s).

                Also, try disabling the steam controller support. We guess that's the issue.

                  A little update.
                  You can just run this file.
