Dualshock touch-pad tap as a shift modifier?

It seems that the ability to use the touch-pad tap as a shift modifier has been removed in the latest update, are there any plans to bring that back?

Unfortunately, at the moment, you can't use tap as a Shift modifier. We are going to make it possible in one of the upcoming releases.
