  • Shift modifier on controller --> shift layer on keyboard

Is there a way to use some button on an xbox one controller as a shift modifier to bring up a different shift layer on a keyboard?

I can re-map the keyboard, but need to activate a shift layer for it by holding a button on the xbox controller.

    Any way to do this?

    Well, yes:
    1. Have gamepad and keyboard grouped up.
    2. Select an unused shift.
    3. Set the gamepad button you need as a shift modifier.
    4. Set keyboard mappings on the same shift.

      Thank you.

I grouped the controller and keyboard and am able to activate a shift layer on the keyboard by holding a button on the controller. So far so good.

In shift layer 1 on the keyboard I've re-mapped the "1" button to "F1". Holding the button on the controller to activate shift layer 1 and pressing "1" produces a "1" and then "F1". I need just the "F1" without the "1".

Use [Unmap] flag there. It'll prevent original input leaving only the remapped one.

That fixed it. Thank you very much for your help.
