  • Mouse latency when remapping mouse buttons?

    Hi,

i would like to know if there is any latency added to the mouse (movement or button latency) when remapping it with reWASD?

    Hi.
If you are talking about input lag, in reWASD this delay is 5ms, in case you create a virtual controller.
This delay is minimal and not noticeable to the eye.

Essentially, reWASD creates a virtual controller that operates with the same response as its physical counterpart connected via USB.

      Ah ok thanks.

There is an option under "Input Devices" that says "Do not create Virtual Input Device for reWASD", does this mean there will be no added input lag? If thats not the case, in which situation should this be activated?

This section of the settings has no effect on the input lag.

By default, when you create keyboard or mouse mappings (clicks or movement) reWASD creates a virtual device on behalf of which these mappings are played.
In the Input devices settings, you can select your physical keyboard and mouse and all kb&m mappings will play on behalf of your physical devices.

If you check "Do not create Virtual Input Device for reWASD", it simply means that all kb&m mappings will work on behalf of your physical devices (if you selected them in the list) and if you unplug for example keyboard, the mappings will stop working, because reWASD did not create virtual device and physical one is disconnected from PC.
