  • Sonic Lost World - Can't remap dpad to analog

Hi! Sonic Lost World is one of those games that constantly switches from a 2D to 3D perspective and yet (for some reason) the developers don't allow the player to use the analog (for 3D) and d-pad (for 2D) at the same time by default (the d-pad doesn't do anything in this game).

I tried to remap the d-Pad to the analog stick and for some reason it doesn't work for this specific game. This is the first game I was unable to remap using reWASD.

    Controller: Xbox One S Controller
    Firmware version: 4.8.1923.0

    Hi.

Not all games can work with specific controllers. That is, the issue may well lie in the game itself.

But there are a couple of things you can try:

    1. Try applying Unmaps to the left stick mappings on your physical D-pad.

    2. Try to use the config with all three types of virtual controller in turn (use the config first and only then start the game)

    3. Check if the virtual left stick works on the gamepad tester.

If steps 1 and 2 do not solve the problem within the game, but the stick will work without problems on the controller tester, then the problem is most likely in the game itself.

      Hey there!

I have also noticed that it seems that you are using the physical and virtual controller together. Please go to -> Gamepads tab and check Hide physical controller when virtual one is created option, then restart the game and try again. It may be a chance that the gamepad still detects the physical controller, and that is why the virtual input is not registered.
