Your controllers have the ability to work in different modes:
X-input, D-input, Mac mode, Switch mode.

Depending on the mode selection, the controller is recognized differently in the system and in reWASD.

I have two 8BitDo Pro+ pads: one comes out as an XBOne controller and the other one as a PS4 controller, why?
