I play war zone all the time and would like to be able to have aim assist. Is this a banable offense and how has it been on keyboard and mouse?

Remappers are usually not forbidden in competitive games, as modern keyboard, mice and controllers have remapping functions out of the box.
Though reWASD has macro functions (Turbo and Combo) that might be recognized by the game as cheating, so you should be fine as long as you don't use those.
But be warned that we can't guarantee that some game or anti-cheat system would not suddenly blacklist our app.
