  • Additional info about the shortcut bug...

This will be the last post about it , solved or not

    Let's speed things up

    Shortcut mode (keyboard only) : A + S = 9

    6.0.1
    Tap A and S the same time x 3 = 999
    then hold A and S = 999999999999
    which is perfect

6.1.1 (clean install or update from the software)
    Tap A and S the same time x 3 = asasas
    then hold A and S = asasasasasasasas
No... (create or reuse the profile doesn't matter , 6.0.1 will work the both way which 1.1 not.)

This is 6.0.1, More than one ID (keyboard device) to avoid ghosting i guess...
Only simple keyboard with single ID won't have the shortcut bug when using 6.1.1 in my case.

This is 6.1.1 , hmm... VID:PID... That's new , are you causing the trouble here ?

I don't think it is related to profile of mapping as it is simple enough, just a and s thing.. .

That will be all, good day everyone.

Thks , happy to hear about that.

But i just found out another bug related to short cut mode.

That only happen to mouse , keyboard is alright with that.

      Shortcut mode (windows, 6.0.1) :

(eg. It can be any output, any software/game)
Left mouse button (attack) + Right mouse button (block) = menu/jump/whatever (the output key of the shortcut)

LMB and RMB are not remapped by rewasd, they are just the combo trigger for the shortcut

Normally , if you tap or hold LMB and RMB at the same time , menu/jump/whatever will be the only outcome. (like the keyboard)
But with mouse button, attack or block will come first (passthrough) before menu/jump/whatever .
They may even EAT the output because of that...

You can try this with windows 10 notpad
      Set LMB + RMB = x(text)
Right click menu or selection(left mouse click) will come first and eat the output x

      The by-pass solution
Mute/unmap LMB,RMB and then mapping them to LMB,RMB (don't need to do anything else)
Once you are done, press LMB + RMB and no more passthrough but only clean shortcut output.
And LMB and RMB will keep the same function as it should be.

The mouse keys aside from LMB, RMB are not tested... They should share the same bug...

        Hello!
Thanks for letting us know. This is a known issue, and we are working on a fix. For now, we recommend using mute and remap the button to itself, as you described above.

          Hey there!

The fix is released with reWASD 6.2 version. Please go to the official site to download it. Would be grateful if you confirm that everything works properly this time.

Yo, just upgraded and these bugs are gone, nice one. Still waiting for the option to lower the shortcut press time (to 15-20ms), and a way to sort out any key tables . Hehe
