License hasn't been activated properly

Hi everyone, I'm trying to use the 7 day free trial to test out reWASD but I can't use my trial as it says that the license hasn't been activated properly. I already checked the hosts file as suggested in other threads and mine it's completely blank. I also tried to see if the server was pinging using the command line and it is, so I really don't know what else I can do.

I also checked my Windows Firewall and reWASD is allowed both inbound and outbound. I'm lost, I've never used reWASD of course, I even tried on a virtual machine and I get the same error

Try to Close reWASD → open the C:\ProgramData\Disc-Soft\reWASD and remove the license.dat Then, please attempt using the VPN connection during the activation itself.
