  • Error: failed to connect to server

    Error: Failed to connect to server keeps popping up, and then the app shuts down. I have tried reinstalling it. I have also tried to follow the suggestions on other people's posts like this. https://secure.disc-soft.com/ cannot be reached. I tried checking the firewall, but the permissions are there. My computer is not using a proxy server. It was working fine for me yesterday, pls help

    If your firewall is not the one blocking the connection, then that might be another security software on your PC or a service on your router.

    Many routers now have an "Internet Safety" feature, that uses 3rd party public DNS servers to prevent access to "suspicious" or "dangerous" sites.
    We had a few reports about those services blocking access to our license verification server before, but I don't know if we received a reply from those service providers.

    For now, the only solution to this would be to disable that service/software on your PC or your router.

    FYI: secure.disc-soft.com must resolve as 161.35.212.100 and is currently online.
