is there a way to automatically launch/exit reWASD when a controller is connected?

I'm just simply looking for some sort of scheduled task/script/missed option or something that will open and close reWASD whenever Device Manager detects my Xbox controller. I use reWASD primarily with emulators but not with Steam so it's inconvenient having to doublecheck to see if it's 1. open and 2. the previous remap is still active (even after closing the app).

I would rather just have it see this specific controller is connected and open reWASD (i.e. ONLY for this controller and not the Dualsense I use with Steam) and automatically exit it when that connection is no longer there

reWASD does not have this kind of functionality.

Though reWASD has a related option that might be of use to you: "Restore remap state on startup and device reconnect" at > Tray agent.
