How to use controller and kbm at the same time

I come here with a somewhat technical question I guess, I use reWASD to stream to my xbox and use kbm.
However, some games allow only one input device at the same time, meaning I have to choose between using my controller or keyboard.

I was wondering if there was a way I could combine the controller and keyboard and mouse into the same virtual device, I've already tried grouping my controller and kbm together, but that didnt seem to work.

You have been going in the correct direction. If you want to combine the controller and keyboard and mouse into the same virtual device it is required to add all these devices to the common group.
Probably, there is wrong with the device initialization. I assume you should start from scratch and re-initialize them again. Please open Preferences — General, and click Clear data. Then, you can use [Device detection] to know who is who if device names don't state that clearly.
