How to backup "software" preferences settings for use on the new PC?

I have already backed up the controller config settings for games but not the preferences settings data.
I want to save the "software" preferences settings for use on the new PC.
What should I do?

Unfortunately, when moving to a new PC, you can only save your configs and everything else you will need to configure manually again.
