  • 3d party Joy con controller showing up and connecting but nothing works

    Hi,

    I have a problem with a 3d party joy con (IPEGA PG-SW006) and wondering if there is something i could do to make it work.

    When connecting to rewased the controllers shows up as L/R Joy cons and i can pair them just like the original once. when pressing the vibrate button it emulates it correctly. But i cant set anything and not a single button press or gyro works. Everything works fine with switch.
    One thing i noticed is that they show up with a keyboard and mouse symbol in Win bluetooth, not a controller. They do however have the correct name.

    Any ideas if there are anything i could do to make them work?

    Have you tried any other apps before reWASD to remap these Joy-cons? reWASD might not work properly if some 3rd party remapper or driver is still installed on your system. Though we can't guarantee that any 3rd party joy-cons would work at all since we support only the original ones.

    You should test your joy-cons with Windows Game Controllers tool (joy.cpl):
    • select one of the joy-cons;
    • click Properties;
    • check if all its buttons work while reWASD remapping is disabled.

    Could you collect Standard connection logs? For that you would need to:
    1. Unpair your Joy-cons.
    2. Run reWASD as Administrator.
    3. Open [ > General] and click the [Start log] button.
    4. Pair your joy-cons with your PC and wait for them to appear in reWASD.
    5. Open [ > General] and click the [Stop log] button.
    6. ZIP up the [c:\Users\Public\Documents\reWASD\Logs\] folder and upload the ZIP file here.
