Remapping a button to toggle between two different keys ?

ViewKeyCode tool is perhaps really the best option that comes to mind. I use it when I need to test something.

If Window Notepad is not enough, you could try the ViewKeyCode tool.

I was thinking about a more professional tool than that that one, but thanks anyway....

So I take it that there is NO recommended app to show the actual modified output keys being sent when buttons are pressed, like in real time ?

In reWASD, toggle works a little differently.
And it is impossible to make one key work with the toggle as two different keys.

However, to achieve a similar result, you can use different activators, such as Double Press or Long Press.
You can also try using shift layers to make your A key work, like the B key in the second shift layer.

Hi and thanks for your reply. No worries I had a plan B in case it wasn't possible. The shift layers might be another way that needs to be explored as soon as I know how to use them correctly.

Otherwise, can you recommend some type of software to facilitate testing of the generated output so that I know what will actually be sent to the application receiving the remapped keyboard characters, exactly how they will be sent in sequence as a button (or combination of buttons) is pressed ? reWASD doesn't seem to have any inbuilt way to test the generated sequence of keys as far as I can tell (correct me if I'm wrong though).

Hi,

So I just recently purchased the reWASD software and I'm trying to map a particular button to toggle two different keyboard keys. So that when I press the button once it maps to A, but when I press the same button again it maps to say B. So it's like a toggle, but two different keys (or more perhaps) are mapped instead of the same key. It could be interpreted as a button that is mapped to cycle through different keys on a keyboard. Is this possible with this software without having to use a long-press instead to untoggle ?
