Any tips on using the dualsense touchpad to its fullest?

I finally got my Dualsense Edge connected to my PC to try it out with ReWASD, and it just feels so fantastic with all of these customization options. I've had so many people online tell me that the Dualsense touchpad is supposedly amazing, but maybe I'm missing something (I skipped from PS3 right to PS5 in my consoles, so I'm not really used to this pad thing). I'd like to see how it works as a substitute mouse, but I think I'm a bit confused (and pleasantly distracted) by the vast wealth of options.

What are other dualsense users doing to really make good use of the touchpad?
