Xbox One controller is controlling mouse but no keyboard function

When using reWASD with my Xbox One controller, it retains control over the mouse but none of the controller buttons will function as keyboard strokes. Everything is mapped through a premade config. Any ideas why? Same with any controller I try.

That should not be possible. Please test your config on Notepad or with ViewKeyCode tool to verify.

Some games can accept only a controller or keyboard and mouse, completely ignoring other devices.
The config you linked does not have native inputs of a controller [Muted], which results in input from both.

Use the [Magic Wand] icon in the middle, select [Mute all], apply the config, and see if that would fix your issue.

Thanks for the response.

The key strokes should still be functional outside of a game right? On both my desktop and in game only the mouse function works with the config applied. Muting all had no change.

Yes, keyboard inputs should work everywhere. Please restart your PC and test keyboard inputs in Notepad or with ViewKeyCode tool.

If pressing all controller buttons and moving sticks would not result in some kind of input, try selecting another device for keyboard mappings at [Preferences > Input devices].
