Slot changing resulting in game thinking controller disconnected

I am having a problem where I am using the Azeron Cyborg with rewasd for profile switching when a process receives focus. All of it works dandy, mostly.

But when I alt tab and the autodetect clears itself I will return to the game (multiple different games) and see the below message. Is there a way to stop this? I multitask and play many different games so I practically need the autodetect feature but the error popups are a killer.

Below is an example of the error I get.

[Autodetect] applies a config once an app from the associated apps list is in focus, and disables the remap (removes the virtual controller) if the currently focused app is not in the list.

If you don't want the virtual controller to be disconnected from the system, you can disable the [Remove applied config from slot on exit from the associated app] option at [Preferences > Tray agent], but this will keep the remap enabled until another config is applied via [Autodetect] or remap disabled manually.
