I would personally prefer the mapping interface to always default to showing both mappings and descriptions, as I mentally associate keybinds not by the actual binding, but by their descriptive purposes. However every time I change profiles or reopen the window, when I come back it has reset back to only showing Mappings. Is there an option to choose the default view?

Yes, we have already received similar requests and think it is a good idea. However, I’m not yet sure that I can name an ETA for the implementation of this update.
