I'm new to ReWASD. I've activated the Cyro in "exclusive mode" and now the basic mouse movement no longer works. I'm using a separate mouse for now to try and get it configured. Could I get some guidance on how to get this functioning at a basic level?

Once selected in the GUI, reWASD works with Azeron devices in exclusive mode, making them "invisible" to any other software.
So, for now, the best way to set up your config is to use another mouse device(as you did) and apply your config through [Autodetect] settings.
Also, if you use Cyro in pair with Cyborg, don't forget to group them.
