License question regarding Advanced Mapping

Currently I'm using the old rewasd 7 with basic license + advanced mapping

I've been looking into upgrading to 8, but on the blog I found this statement

No, we decided to leave the term "Additional feature" behind. Your license will cover only the functionality it had at the moment of a purchase.

Does this mean that if I upgrade to 8, I will lose the advanced mapping?

No, you won't lose an Advanced mapping feature.
However, you cannot upgrade your license with the rest of the advanced features if you wish to do so (that's what the statement you quoted implies).
