  • Issues with shortcuts when assigning the joystick as an input

I'm currently trying to make the following shortcut:

Name:	image.png
Views:	70
Size:	1.1 KB
ID:	244303

I would like it to do this combo:

Name:	image.png
Views:	65
Size:	20.6 KB
ID:	244304

The combo itself works fine, but the input seems to be not working correctly while having the shortcut assigned to the joystick. Normally a shortcut has a window where both buttons need to be pressed around the same time, otherwise they don't work. However, when the joystick is assigned that is not what's happening. With the above setup if I press down on the left joystick and wait 4 seconds before pressing the A button, it will still fire off the shortcut. Any help would be appreciated.

Try adding the [High Zone] of the left stick to the [Shortcut].

I changed the shortcut to the image below, unfortunately this didn't fix the issue.

        Hey there!

It's not an issue; this behavior of the stick movement shortcuts is by design and cannot be fixed or changed.

That seems odd to have a design choice that goes against the description of the shortcut, which specifically states that "you need to press all the buttons simultaneously" for activation. In the help section (https://help.rewasd.com/basic-functions/shortcuts.html) I don't see anything about this listed, maybe it would be a good idea to add it so that others aren't confused?

Either way, since you're saying that a proper short cut isn't possible, is it instead possible to add a layer shift to the joystick based on how far forward I press it? That would also work to fix my issue.

Stick zones cannot be used to change the shift layer.
