  • Questions For Vader 3 Pro + reWASD Users

In researching my first gyro purchase, I've come up with a few questions specifically for Vader 3 Pro + reWASD users. I'm focusing on this hard/software combo because it's my understanding that it's the best (if not only) setup to get the functionality I'm looking for. I'd really appreciate some clarification on some things before I pull the trigger, if you'd be so kind:

    1. I've read that reWASD recognizes the Vader 3 Pro as its own proprietary device, and allows using gyro and analog triggers simultaneously in wireless mode. True?

    2. Using reWASD, will it be possible to bind the Vader's rear buttons to enable gyro while pressed (or use the rear buttons to toggle gyro)?

    3. Since PC games overwhelmingly do not support gyro natively, I assume many games may have "glyph flickering" while gyro-as-mouse is enabled. Is that generally the worst problem, or do many games struggle to provide a playable experience in these circumstances?

    4. Reading the reWASD license descriptions, it's not clear whether I need any optional features to achieve the functionality I want (toggle gyro with rear buttons, using roll and/or yaw for mouse x-axis). Do I just need the basic 7 dollar license?

    5. Lastly, for most games that aren't aiming and shooting focused, I just want the Vader to act as if it's a 360 controller. Is that trivial to set up? Without reWASD active, does it basically act as such?

I know that's a wall of text, so I very much appreciate your time and support. I'm keen to get into this whole gyro thing, but I really need to get everything right with this one purchase. Thanks a million!

    Hi.
    1. reWASD will correctly detect the controller as Vader 3 Pro in Android mode. Then both the triggers and the gyroscope will be available for remapping. It is important to understand that wireless mode and Bluetooth mode are different things. Bluetooth connection is not supported on any of the Flydigi gamepads.
    2. Yes
    3. Personally, I do not use this controller in games, so I can’t say for sure. However, we have not received such complaints from our users.
    4. reWASD no longer divides the basic license and additional features. All functionality is combined into a single subscription, which can be purchased for a year or for life. All plans are presented in our shopping cart.
    5. You can either emulate a virtual Xbox 360 in reWASD, or simply switch the controller to X-input mode and it will be detected by the system as an Xbox 360.

If I missed something, you can read some details here.

You can also just use "right stick" as the gyro input. The glyph-swapping is the least of your worries when you're switching between mouse input and controller input. A lot of games don't allow for KB/M and Controller at the same time, which leads to the game switching over from on to the other with a noticeable delay between them, making it unusable. Binding the gyro as right stick instead of mouse is your best bet in these cases and it works fine.

For games with aim down sights, you just have it activate on the left trigger but for games like Doom 2016/Eternal I use a toggle because I want it on all the time.
