Keyboard going "crazy" when using REWASD to remap Gamepad...!?

Hey, would very much appreciate any help anyone can offer on this confusing issue.
I've been using REWASD for a few years, its great and I'm familiar with its basic functions and never had this problem before.
My PC is clean(self built liquid cooled), minimal processes on the task bar, with no recent changes.

The issue is as follows:
When remapping an 'Xbox Elite Series 2' gamepad to function as keyboard keys(using mute on the gamepad function). After some time(both gamepad and keyboard work as expected for some minutes), my keyboard will go "crazy". By crazy I mean pressing keys will do random things like open new browser windows, open windows task bar or select random features in discord. When playing a game, I'll try and use the text chat, and pressing 'enter' will minimise the game window, and random keystrokes copy whatever url I have in the background into chat or open the windows search function on the browser. The keys on my keyboard will not allow me to type a message.

The moment I turn off the remapping, everything returns to normal.

Any ideas?

Hi!

Could you try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue?

• Ensure there are no overlapping mappings between the gamepad buttons and your keyboard keys in the reWASD profile.
• Try creating a new profile from scratch for your Xbox Elite Series 2 and test if the issue persists.
• Ensure you're using the latest version of reWASD. If not, download and update it from our website.

1. I'm not using any mapping on the keyboard(Logitech K650), only on gamepad(Xbox Elite S2).
2. I am using the latest version of REWASD(v9.0.0), first thing I did was update.
3. I will create a new map for gamepad and comment here after some testing.

Here is a copy of the config file should it help.

1. There are no mappings in the config that affect the keyboard.
2. Try removing the keyboard from the group with your gamepad. If nothing is applied to the device, then it is excluded that reWASD affects it.
3. Try Clear data via → General. After that, apply the config to your gamepad again.

This issue is almost certainly user error! My bad, I'll comment here again if I believe otherwise after some testing/adjustments.

As I am using 'toggle' in my gamepad config, something I don't normally do. My keyboard function is changing depending on the state of the toggle. Obvious really. In my defence, I was really quite drunk last night!

Thanks for the help, apologies I done goofed up. I've been using rewasd for several years(just not the toggle!) and have really enjoyed the opportunity to play games like SWTOR on my sofa with a gamepad, that were otherwise impossible. Also playing ARPGs with gamepad left hand for movement and mouse right hand for interaction is really excellent way to enjoy the game.
