  • Dualsense Edge Issues with Combo in Monster Hunter Wilds

    Hi Everyone,

I'm using REWASD to set up my Dualsense Edge controller for Monster Hunter Wilds on Steam and have generally had everything work as expected. I even set up a long combo string that I bound to one of the function buttons that works great. However, I'm having an issue when trying to bind either triangle+circle (or left click + right click) to a back trigger.

I'm using the "Single Press" setting, then I go to Combo, Hold until release, and set it to the two buttons I want to be treated as held for the same duration as the back trigger. In game it works so long as I start my combo first (i.e., circle, circle, triangle+circle works, and I can also get it to register circle, circle, (hold) triangle + circle). But when I try to do my first attack as a triangle+circle, my character in game is defaulting to a dodge (x in game, and which I've also bound my back left trigger to).

I cannot see any reason why it would behave this way and it's possible that it's related to this game specifically but if I actually manually hit triangle + circle at the beginning of an attack combo it works as expected so something about setting the simultaneous button presses to a single button is not working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks all!

    Hey there!

Please apply the config and check if it works correctly in the tester: https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad

If everything is fine in the tester, then this issue is directly related to the game.

Since the game does recognize manual Triangle + Circle but not when bound to a single button, it’s possible that REWASD is slightly delaying one input over the other or misfiring due to another binding priority issue.
