  • Using controller and mouse..

Hi, apologies if this q was answered elsewhere, tried doing a search but... Is it doable with rewasd to map the mouse to the right stick and keep all other gamepad functions all working seamlessly for games that do not allow keyboard and controller to work together at the same time? Specifically I want it for DXHR. Thanks

Yes, it is possible. Group the controller and the mouse together and remap mouse buttons to controller alternatives. Don't forget to select a controller the game supports as an output device.

I tried to do the above, can't somehow get it to work. I have a wireless controller, smx x10, uses a dongle and usually is recognised as xbox360. I toggled on virtual 360 by clicking on the wand, after grouping controller, mouse and kb. I substituted right stick with mouse. When I try it in Deus ex hr it's still registering as two separate mouse and kb actions and makes it unplayable. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Please send the config you are using. Your configs are stored here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\reWASD\Profiles. I need the correspondent *.rewasd file.
Also, please send a screenshot of the device group like here:

It looks like you mapped the right stick to the mouse, but if your goal is to aim with the mouse, you need to do the opposite —
remap the mouse to the right stick.
Also, try creating a new group that includes only the mouse and the controller.

After grouping them I brought up the controller picture and clicked on the right stick. Then chose mouse on the submenu. Isn't that the way to remap the mouse to the right stick? Seems the most intuitive way. Thanks

Ps I'm doing all this on my laptop and using the track pad. There's no mouse attached. Will this matter?

                  Hi ug005@hotmail.com

You need to do the opposite. Go to the mouse mapping section and remap its movements to the stick.
We also recommend you use a physical mouse.
