  • Flydigi vader 4 pro polling rate

    Hello,

Tried using the search here but didn't come up with anything here talking about it. Trying to use the vader 4 on rewasd. I'm able to get rewasd to detect the vader 4 after switching to Dinput mode (blue light). However for some reason the polling rate is stuck at 250hz. I've tried switching device performance to ultra and it didn't make a difference.

If I use Xinput mode I can achieve the 1000hz but rewasd only detects it as a 360 controller which I wouldn't be able to fully utilize the extra buttons the vader 4 offers. I'm using a wired connection to my PC.

Any help on what the issue might be here? Providing pictures below of my settings and polling rate.

    Hi!

Please make sure your Flydigi Vader 4 Pro is connected via a wired USB connection, not Bluetooth.
Also, try using a different USB cable or port if possible.
Check if any other software like Steam Input or other controller drivers are running — they could interfere, so it's best to disable them temporarily and test again.

In reWASD, go to Device Settings → Output Device Settings, set Device Performance to Ultra, apply changes, and restart reWASD.
After that, check if the polling rate improves.

Yes my controller is connected via wired USB connection. I'm using the cable that comes with it and another one I already had.

Tried both front and back USB ports. Both with extensions and without.

I closed down steam to eliminate that. The only other program I would have is the flydigi space station but you can't run rewasd and the space station at the same time anyways as rewasd will close down. I've manually closed down the space station before using rewasd.

Yes I have also changed the device performance to Ultra.

The most I'm able to get by switching the performance back and forth to make sure its registering is 500 hz on ultra with an average rate of about 340hz.

Hi. Unfortunately, due to native firmware limitations, 1000hz is only available in X-input mode.

Are there any current working plans in the near future for the vader 4 pro to work with rewasd in xinput mode? In the mean time is there any current workarounds we can do to have access to the additional buttons the vader 4 pro offers in xinput mode? The flydigi space station works in xinput mode but it ofc doesnt offer as much customization as rewasd does.

The highest I'm about get get the controller to work in Dinput mode which is fully supported is 500hz on ultra.

There is nothing we can do to fix this issue.
X-input mode is a universal mode for compatibility with most applications on a PC. And if the Windows system in this mode does not detect any additional buttons other than those in the Xbox 360, then reWASD will not detect it either.

How does flydigi's space station recognize the controller and able to fully setup and use all of the extra buttons in xinput mode?

I guess the point is that this is the direct purpose of the native software for the controller?

I don't know much about programming and such so I'm just curious if there is somehow a way to use whatever flydigi's space station is using to detect the controller and all of it's buttons and adapt it over to rewasd. I really like rewasd and just want to fully be able to use the controller without it being nerfed lol.

No. reWASD can work correctly with this controller only if it works in D-input mode.
