  • Thumbstick Calibration Issues

I have an Xbox One controller model 1708, which came with an Xbox One S console in 2017. I replaced the original thumb sticks, which were worn, but have been unable to calibrate the new sticks, as the Xbox accessories app does not support re-calibration of sticks on this controller.

Both sticks are off center by >10% in the vertical axis. They always return very close to the same position, but this position is off.

In order to deal with this I have set large dead zone in reWASD, however a much smaller dead zone could be used if reWASD could compensate for the off center sticks.

Is there a way to get reWASD to handle these poorly calibrated sticks, other than using an unnecessarily large dead zone?

    Hi!

Currently, reWASD doesn't have a built-in calibration tool that can compensate for off-center analog sticks or re-center them. The workaround you implemented may be a good solution in this case.

      OK, thanks.

I hope reWASD can add a built-in calibration tool soon. It would be useful. Lots of people are replacing worn out analog thumb sticks in older controllers with TMR sticks. The replacement sticks cannot always be calibrated in the controller's firmware.
