  • Old reWASD system files detected.

I've probably installed and uninstalled reWASD at least 20 times. I wanted to reinstall it after a long break. When I tried to open it to edit my configuration, I got a warning saying "Old reWASD system files detected." The bottom line says that for reWASD to work properly, old system files must be deleted and your computer must be restarted. I've uninstalled it five times, tried uninstalling from the control panel, uninstalling from the application's own folder, deleting the registry with regedit, and uninstalling with revotheuninstaller, but it doesn't work. I'm still getting the same problem.

The reWASD uninstaller might schedule the removal of some system components to the next time the system boots up, which is why you must restart your PC when asked.
Some anti-viruses can interfere with scheduled removal, so you should disable them when installing or uninstalling reWASD.

If (un)installer of the latest version of reWASD is unable to remove older files, you should try installing and then uninstalling the older versions you were using (7.0, 7.1, 7.3).

If the issue persists, then you did not remove everything. And restarting your PC when requested is an important part, which you never mentioned doing. So please, uninstall the current version of reWASD, restart your PC, download and install reWASD 7.3, restart if requested, uninstall it via its own uninstaller (do not use third-party uninstallers!), restart again, and then try installing the latest version of reWASD.

I did what you said, I installed rewasd 7.3, then I uninstalled it again and installed the latest version, it didn't work. Then I installed 7.3 again and updated it to the latest version, I got the same error again.

Please provide us with the MSInfo report of your PC. For that, do the following:
                    1. Type "msinfo" in Windows search and select "Run as Administrator".
                    2. Once MSInfo opens, click [File > Save].
                    3. Choose a name for the resulting file and click the [Save] button.
                    4. Send the resulting `nfo` file to me via DM or to [help@rewasd.com] with a link to this topic.
We also need you to check your Windows Registry for existence of these registry folders:
                    Code:
                    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\hidgamemap
                    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\rwsddrvmap
                    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\r1710map
To do this, start "regedit" and paste each line into the top field of the app. The ones that "open" - exist.

                      Code:
                      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\rwsddrvmap
                      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\r1710map
                      i dont find this two

                      i send file on mail
Am I right to assume that the [hidgamemap] folder exists in your registry? If so, delete it, restart your PC, and start reWASD again.
