  • After v9.2 update, "hotkey slot switch" no longer works.

There used to be customizable hotkey combinations for switching slots for each controller. Since the update to version 9.2, this feature has been completely grayed out, and even the Default settings cannot be selected. Please help me, as this issue is causing me a lot of trouble.

Even though I’ve already disconnected all my controllers, now whenever I open reWASD, I hear the device connection sound, and a “Wireless Controller” appears. When I open Steam, it also detects it as a PS4 controller. It seems to be a virtual PS4 controller from one of my previous slot settings. This issue didn’t exist before the update. Once I close reWASD, the controller disappears, and I hear the device disconnection sound.

Hi! Please clear data in reWASD, then restart the app. After that, ungroup your devices and group them again.

Thank you for your help. Everything is working normally now. However, I still have a small question — I remember that in the past, after assigning a group to a device, I could simply press “Default settings” in the group’s slots to apply the default hotkey configuration. Now, pressing “Default settings” just gives me a blank setup. It’s a bit inconvenient because every time I assign a group, I have to manually reconfigure the hotkeys for each slot one by one.

I'm not sure that I understand what you mean.
If you're sure this functionality existed, try installing an earlier version and check if it really did.
Or, try explaining it in more detail.
