Title is the post, using the most recent version of ReWASD with compatibility mode turned on and I received an email from EA earlier today stating that my account has been suspended from online access for cheating. This is mainly a warning to anyone who uses this software to turn it off and uninstall before you get banned yourself.

i got banned too for having rewasd installed i wasnt even using it i tried it last week but forgot to uninstall because it didnt work properly for meComment

I got a permaban notice today for "using unauthorized methods to enhance in-game performance by removing gameplay constraints or improving in-game abilities". To be fair, they haven't said what I did wrong exactly, but seeing these reports (also on Reddit), I suspect it's because I've Rewasd installed (latest version, compatibility mode on). I wasn't even using it with BF6.
I've lodged an appeal with them and see how it goes. Will update here. To the others: Have you tried appealing and what did they say?

Good afternoon, I was also banned as of last night around 11pm (UK time). I have submitted an appeal, but the only thing I can thing of that may have triggered the ban is rewasd. I followed all the recommended steps and had mappings turned off when playing Battlefield (I mostly only use it for game pass games with a ps4 controller), but I currently have a permanent ban for cheating. I have filed an appeal and also have requested my data to see if anything is in there, but there has been no progress yet.Comment

I got banned too. I received an email last night and I was like, huh? I have had ReWASD installed for a few months, and nearly 100hrs in BF6 and this happened. Nightmare. Hopefully this can all be resolved. Crap thing for me, is I am a playtester for EA, so I am unsure how this affects me in that aspect.Comment

Just happened to me as well, not cool I thought this compatibility mode was legit. So effin sad right now. I was so into BF6. I use reWASD to map PS move controller as the keyboard. FMLComment

since you are a playtester, can you get in contact with them somehow. Why not just give us a warning before the ban. Like you cant use this with bf6 etc. straight up ban is nuts. I only use it for PS navi controller because I find it easier than keyboard. I can kick back and play without cumbersome keyboard.Originally Posted by halolma View PostComment
